Overview
NUUL addresses the critical vulnerability of metadata leakage in digital media. By porting a high performance Rust processing engine to WebAssembly, we enabled complex EXIF and GPS stripping directly in the user's browser. This architecture eliminates the need to upload files to a server, reducing infrastructure costs to near zero while providing users with a definitive privacy guarantee. The interface features a real time visual diff, allowing users to audit exactly which data points — from GPS coordinates to camera serial numbers — are being scrubbed before they save the sanitized image.
Outcome
Rust compiled WASM engine delivers 98% faster metadata stripping compared to server side solutions. 100% data privacy verified through client side only processing.
